Since 2008, Hope Beyond Bridges has served the homeless right where they are, on the streets and under the bridges every Saturday. Our volunteers and community partners provide basic necessities to the homeless we meet, giving them a hearty meal, hydration, shoes, clothing, and hygiene kits. However, we don’t just feed their physical needs, we feed their spirit. Through shared prayers and conversation, we build trust, we build relationships, one meal, and one prayer at a time. Please consider joining us to make a difference in the life of those marginalized, and often forgotten individuals.
History
Our Mission
RESTORE hope to the homeless by meeting spiritual, emotional, and physical needs because a bridge is NOT a home.
Vision
- To reach every major highway around Houston outside of the 610 Loop.
- To Restore hope and help individuals believe their future will tell a better
story. - To engage with other organizations who offer services to help the homeless
when hope has been restored.
Values
Respect
We recognize each person as member of our community. The circumstances of everyone’s life are different and each person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
Trust
Earned through weekly meals and prayers. Many homeless have been used or exploited in the past and distrust those who say they want to help. We give them help and show them we care without anything in return.
Listen & Connect
We listen with empathy and connect through shared stories. We give the homeless a chance to share their experiences and request prayers.
Collaborate
We work with our dedicated volunteers and generous community partners to meet the needs of the homeless and when hope is restored to be able to offer them a next step to get off the streets.
Steward
We manage with excellence the generous donations of all our financial and item donations, ensuring every penny, blanket and hygiene kit are shared to further our mission.
Our Philosophy
The homeless don’t care what you know until they know you care. We prove we care every week.
