Our church and community partners through financial support and use of their facilities enable us to meet the needs of the homeless and help them see hope for a better future.
When you give to Hope Beyond Bridges, you enable our volunteers to feed one more homeless person and help our ministry grow. When you join our 365 CLUB, your $30 monthly donation provides 52 meals and 52 hygiene kits for one homeless individual for a year ($1 a day). Every penny is spent to serve those under the bridges and help Restore HOPE for a future off the streets because a bridge is NOT a home.
Hope Beyond Bridges serves the homeless right where they are, under the bridges
around Houston. Every Saturday, our volunteers and community partners provide basic necessities to
the homeless we meet; giving them a hearty meal, clothing, and hygiene kits. But we don’t just feed
their basic physical needs, we feed their spirit. Through shared prayers and conversation, we build trust,
we build relationships, one meal and one prayer at a time.
When you volunteer with Hope Beyond Bridges, you help us serve nearly 200 meals to the homeless each week. The more dedicated volunteers we have, the more people we can reach and serve. There are multiple volunteer opportunities available that enable us to reach more of Houston’s homeless.
“Hope Beyond Bridges has helped me see people beyond their circumstances and grow in my ability to apply God’s command to love our neighbor and embrace everyone as a brother or sister in Christ.”Kelly Bivens
“Hope Beyond Bridges has helped me to see that everyone has a story. This ministry is a clear example of Jesus, who came to us in the middle of our mess, loved us and restored us.”Dillon Gooch
“Serving with Hope Beyond Bridges has been both eye opening and gut wrenching. Saturday volunteering has given me an outlet to obey what the Lord has asked me to do.”Jessica Novak
“Serving in this ministry has helped me accept people for who they are, not who I perceive them to be. When I pray with a homeless friend and I see tears in their eyes, I know they are feeling the power of Jesus' love.”Brian Young
When your church or company partners with Hope Beyond Bridges, you:
Our goal is to provide for the needs of the homeless and to gain their trust.
Those needs include food, hygiene, clothing, prayer and hope for a better future. We meet the same chronically homeless individuals every week and hear the hopelessness in their voices. They have been hurt in many ways and often turn to drugs and alcohol to cope rather than taking a chance on other people to help them. It takes time to gain the trust of a chronically homeless person to show them that they can depend on us rather than their substance of choice. When we gain that trust we can help individuals realize that better future. Chris’s story in this video is one of our hope restored stories.
